The Division of Adult Institutions is seeking to fill a Food Service Administrator position, located at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac, WI.

The institution Food Service is responsible for the preparation, distribution and service of meals and medically ordered modified diets for an inmate population of approximately 800 and 200 staff members.
This position is responsible for supervision of staff and inmates, implementation of a Modified Diet Program, maintenance of security, budgeting, safety and sanitation initiatives, and the maintenance of supplies and services.
In addition, this position provides support and direction to the two female centers which are a part of the Wisconsin Women's Correctional System to include coordination of data, food service facility audits, and training.
Salary Information This position is in pay schedule/range 81-03 with an annual salary of $58,240 - $74,880 plus excellent benefits.
Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes.
A twelve-month probationary period is required.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection.
Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have:
Experience with food preparation Experience with nutrition and/or quality assessment (including modified and/or medically restricted diets).
Experience maintaining inventory, including:
food supplies, materials, and equipment.
Experience and/or training pertaining to food related health, safety, sanitation, and security i Experience leading and directing the work of other staff members.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
