This limited term full-time position reports directly to the City Engineer and will perform work in the field and the office in conjunction with various municipal (civil) engineering projects.
It is anticipated that this work will be 40 hours per week for the months of May through August.
Various duties and responsibilities include assisting with inspection on City construction projects, including underground construction, street maintenance and sidewalk program; along with working with Engineers and Engineering Technicians on reports, computations, and field design adjustments.
Qualifications include:
knowledge of the technical methods and practices of civil engineering and surveying; along with the ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public.
Requirements include graduation from high school or equivalent; excellent communication skills; technical training and/or relevant experience in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or public works construction is desired.
Knowledge of land surveying equipment is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
