Examples of Duties
Essential Functions:
Provides office support functions for a variety of computer operations which include:
forms, data entry, filing, scanning and reports Processes outgoing mail and distributes mail daily to staff Maintain the general appearance of the front office, reception and waiting areas Provides reception services by interacting with the public, employees, and other individuals to answer questions regarding departmental programs and services and/or refers clients to appropriate staff or agency; provides appropriate forms/applications or other requested materials; reviews submitted forms/applications for completeness and compliance with applicable rules and regulations; informs clients of any discrepancies and/or further action required; routes accepted materials to appropriate personnel Inventories and orders office supplies, materials and agency forms Provides public with necessary meeting notices Prepares case files and reviews closed files for completeness Performs basic cash handling tasks and transactions Prepares, researches, analyzes, and organizes information to produce a variety of documents, reports, informational materials, statistics, or other materials for the department Creates, updates, and maintains a variety of spreadsheets, databases, and applications Coordinates registration for staff attending conferences or training Enter electronic service authorizations for claims processing Research and work with vendors for quotes on purchase requisitions Prepare, enter and track purchase orders and requisitions in to electronic system ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provides back-up coverage for designated support staff in their absence Assist in the training of new clerical staff Performs other related duties as may be assigned Typical Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATION:
High School diploma A minimum of 1 years of work experience in administrative functions; or a minimum of 1 year in a customer service environment; or an associates' degree in a related clerical field Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between work locations Prior to hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted.
Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Possesses good working knowledge of a number or computer software packages to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work with databases and learn quickly using a variety of computer applications as tools to perform job.
Ability to operate standard office machines and equipment, including, but not limited to:
personal and laptop computer with a variety of software, projector, typewriter, copy machine, multi-line telephone, calculator, and fax machine.
Strong organization and prioritization skills required with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Maintain flexibility to accommodate requests on short notice, to conform to and meet deadlines, amidst frequent interruptions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Maintain positive behaviors toward coworkers, teams, agency's consumers, their families, general public, and collateral agencies, with a focus on excellence in customer service.
Ability to act calmly in emergency situations and under pressure, while able to effectively address and resolve conflict and to manage stress in a professional manner.

Access to a motor vehicle A minimum of $250,000/$500,000 auto liability insurance coverage verified upon hire and at renewal by providing a copy of the declaration page of your policy from your insurance carrier.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
