The IT Site Services Tech Specialist assists the Divisional Manager in acting as a liaison between the IT Site Services department and the IT representatives at all Corporate IT departments. As an IT Site Services Technical Specialist you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of IT hardware and software components to ensure the smooth operation of the Business. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing and configuring computer hardware and software, Office 365 & Microsoft Teams support, supporting multiple OS levels including Apple and Android, working closely with other teams within Brunswick IT and to be the primary point of contact for local IT support. This position will also participate in driving business process changes through technology and who works well independently or in a group to help develop technical strategies to propel our business forward. The IT Site Services Technical Specialist will be expected to work closely with vendors and external support representatives. This position is responsible for helping to facilitate and communicate the strategy, direction, and initiatives of Brunswick and Land N Sea's IT Department to ensure a common vision amongst all facilities (One Company - One Culture). This position is expected to maintain the highest possible level of security and immediately report any suspected breach. Maintain the highest level of cooperation with all users of IT systems. Suggest changes that would result in improvements of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service. Regarding Brunswick policies, maintain a professional attitude and ethical responsibilities. Principal Accountabilities Assist with providing oversight and understanding or IT Site Service needs at our primary and remote U.S. locations Assist with Site Services related projects including, but not limited to, the annual PC refresh, Windows updates / site health, return to office, etc. Assist with coordination of all hardware, software, and network upgrades across Mercury Marine Diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues across the company - both locally and at our remote locations Provide first level support to end user devices and peripherals (PC's, Laptops, Tablets, Android Devices, MACs, Printers, Scanners, Etc.) Ensures that all hardware and software installed at facilities meets BCIT Standards. Ensuring asset health and compliance, including but not limited to, UPS, Anti-Virus, Data Encryption as well as Device Life Cycle Management. Recognize and identify potential areas where policies and procedures require change or development and report them to the appropriate manager Strictly follow guidance and regulations provided by Brunswick Information Security Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures. Perform at or above Information Systems performance standards set by BCIT Reporting Responsibilities This position reports to the Divisional Site Services Manager. Hours Normal hours are on-premise Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week during 2nd shift. However, the IT Site Services Technical Specialist must be adaptable to plant schedules and work off-hours and weekends as required. Required Qualifications Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience One to two years' experience in working on or managing IT related projects One to three years supporting current Windows, Apple, and Android operating systems, PC and Server relations, Office 365, Cloud, and on-premise storage, as well as IT ticketing systems Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work with people at all levels and skill sets Knowledge and understanding of telecommunications systems such as Mitel/VOIP and Network technologies Desired Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field Two to three years' experience in working on or managing IT related projects Five to six years supporting current BCIT technologies. Windows, Apple, and Android operating systems, Office 365, Networking, ServiceNow, Mitel, etc. Knowledge and understanding of networks and TCP/IP protocol Knowledge and understanding of budgeting, forecasting and inventory management We recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
